Nyscla is a brand that represents licensed Landscape Architects in New York State. Founded at the request of the New York State Board for Landscape Architecture, Nyscla is a group of passionate volunteers from around the state who are licensed landscape architects appointed by the New York and New York Upstate Chapters of the American Society of Landscape Architects. Their main mission is to address issues related to licensure and state regulations affecting the profession of Landscape Architecture.

Nyscla is financially supported by ASLA chapters in New York State, as well as contributions from individuals and firms. The brand is also staffed by an Executive Director who reviews pending bills in the State Legislature and acts as a liaison with professional associations of Architects, Engineers, and land surveyors in New York State. Nyscla's history dates back to the 1940s when efforts were made to license the practice of landscape architecture in New York.

With the support of various stakeholders, including architects, engineers, and nurserymen, Nyscla successfully introduced a bill in the legislature in 1960, leading to the licensing of landscape architects in the state.
