Ozark Action, Inc. (OAI) is a non-profit Community Action Agency based in Southern Missouri. With over fifty years of service, OAI is a driving force in economic and community development in the region.

Serving six counties – Douglas, Howell, Oregon, Ozark, Texas, and Wright – OAI coordinates and provides a wide range of services to help individuals and families improve their quality of life. Their services include community assistance programs such as Medicare assistance, tax filing assistance, emergency services, property tax/rent rebate, vehicle repair, family support, and homeless assistance. OAI also offers Head Start and Early Head Start programs, as well as housing and weatherization services.

They provide workforce development opportunities and utility assistance to those in need. OAI believes in empowering individuals and communities to move from poverty to self-sufficiency. They value caring, empathy, honesty, integrity, teamwork, and commitment to offering appropriate referrals to those they are unable to serve directly.
