Orange County Communities Organized for Responsible Development (OCCORD) is a nonprofit organization based in Santa Ana, CA, dedicated to bringing together workers, families, and community partners to advocate for good jobs, strong neighborhoods, and an inclusive democracy in Orange County. Established in 2005 as a community-labor alliance, OCCORD utilizes community organizing, civic participation, strategic research, and advocacy to engage residents, workers, and stakeholders in local government decisions that affect economic opportunity, community health, and overall quality of life. With a focus on communities like Anaheim and Santa Ana, OCCORD aims to address the needs of working families and immigrant communities who have historically been underrepresented in government decision-making processes.
