OOV Support is a brand that focuses on creating learning moments within a safe working environment. They provide a range of services in this field, including providing extras for large and small-scale disaster exercises, pseudo-demonstrators for training the mobile unit, and actors to play victims in simulations. OOV Support can be enlisted for recruitment, management, and support.

This organization operates entirely on a voluntary basis, from the members of the board to material management. The history of OOV Support dates back to the early 1990s when the Hague Municipal Police Bureau needed controllable opposition for exercises involving the mobile unit. Initially, they relied on volunteers from the Hague Volunteer Rescue Brigade and later from local scout groups.

Over time, the organization grew and began supporting exercises for other emergency services in The Hague. In 2005, they faced their biggest challenge yet when they were asked to support a national exercise with 10,000 extras in the Arena. In response to the increased demand for controlled opposition nationwide, the Openbare Orde & Veiligheid (Public Order & Security) Support foundation was formed.

Since then, the demand for their services has expanded to include various emergency services, anti-terrorism units, defense, the Coast Guard, and even the Royal Household. In addition to their primary services, the volunteers of OOV Support also offer specializations such as makeup artists for creating realistic injuries and nautical extras. They have also been involved in international exercises since 2010, with a training complex in Weeze, Germany serving as their second home.

In 2014, OOV-Support provided logistical support to the Dutch National Police Organization during the Nuclear Security Summit. Nowadays, their volunteers continue to support local emergency services throughout the Netherlands, combining utility with pleasure to make the country safer. OOV Support collaborates with educational institutions specializing in public order and safety, such as Vakmanschap & Veiligheid (Craftsmanship & Safety) ROCs and higher education programs in Integrated Security, Communication, and Nursing.
