Alpe d'HuZes is a unique sporting event that aims to raise as much money as possible for cancer research and improving the quality of life for people with cancer. On a single day, 5000 participants will bike, hike, or run up the Alpe d'Huez, attempting a maximum of six climbs with the motto 'giving up is not an option. ' This event takes place on the first Thursday in June and is part of a week-long event filled with solidarity and open discussions about cancer.

Alpe d'HuZes aims to convert the powerlessness caused by cancer into strength. Under the motto 'giving up is not an option,' they strive to push the boundaries and achieve the greatest possible satisfaction when dedicating themselves to others affected by cancer. They donate 100% of funds to cancer research and improving the lives of cancer patients.

Their funds support various research projects, including immunotherapy, research into child cancer, and research into the metastasis of breast and bowel cancer. Alpe d'HuZes also partners with the Dutch Cancer Society (KWF Kankerbestrijding) to ensure the funds are used effectively and strategically
