The Organic Research Centre (ORC) is the UK's leading independent research organization for agroecological farming approaches, including organic and agroforestry. As a small charity, we drive our own research agenda to tackle global issues by finding community-based solutions for farmers and their supply chains. Our research has shown that working in alignment with natural systems and ecosystems is the key to minimizing negative impacts from agriculture.

We deliver practical, sustainable land management and food production solutions that produce quality food, minimize resource use, and protect the environment. Our team of 24 researchers, scientists, and administrators based in Cirencester, Gloucestershire has contributed to hundreds of projects both in the UK and internationally. We collaborate with like-minded partners and empower people by translating our research into practical advice, influencing policy makers, farming communities, and wider society.
