Owa, the Ontario Waterpower Association, is a not-for-profit, member-based organization dedicated to promoting the sustainable development of waterpower resources in Ontario. With over 150 organizations as members, including generators, engineering firms, environmental consultants, and Indigenous communities, OWA represents the common and collective interests of the waterpower industry. The association has been advocating for the industry since 2001, aiming to inform public policy and opinion to create investment opportunities for its members across communities and regions in Ontario.

OWA's vision is for waterpower to be recognized and valued by governments, communities, and citizens for its contributions to electricity generation, environmental sustainability, and social and economic development. Furthermore, OWA strives to support the growth and sustainability of Ontario's existing waterpower assets while also creating new opportunities for industry expansion. Through education initiatives like Waterpower Day and HydroFlix, as well as their MEng in Waterpower program, OWA actively promotes knowledge sharing and community engagement.
