Description
The Association for Pet Obesity Prevention (APOP) is a nonprofit organization on a mission to raise awareness and combat obesity and weight-related disorders in pets. We believe that the most crucial decision pet owners make every day is what and how much they feed their pets. At APOP, we work tirelessly to address the number one health threat faced by pets today β obesity.
Our goal is to foster a deeper understanding of this issue and encourage collaboration among pet owners, healthcare professionals, and researchers. We aim to eliminate weight bias, support parallel weight loss and health initiatives through the One Health approach, and provide valuable resources for veterinary healthcare personnel. By developing clinical resources, public education campaigns, and evidence-based clinical care, we strive to improve the health and well-being of pets with obesity.
Join us in our mission to strengthen the bond between humans and animals and ensure the optimal health and longevity of our beloved pets
