PlayBuild is a brand that has been building community and inspiring minds since 2012. They transform urban spaces into dynamic play and learning environments, empowering kids aged 4-12 to design their futures. PlayBuild operates in New Orleans, creating inspiring, creative, and safe environments for children and their caregivers.

Their Central City play space has hosted after-school programs, weekend family events, seasonal celebrations, and summer camps. In the next 5 years, PlayBuild plans to expand beyond Central City and identify other high-need communities where they can replicate their successful model. They collaborate with cultural and institutional partners, such as the City of New Orleans Mayor’s Office of Youth and Families, to program public spaces with hands-on play-to-learn activities.

PlayBuild also advocates for child-friendly urban infrastructure by working with stakeholders to rethink urban planning through a youth-centric lens. Since their launch, PlayBuild has engaged hundreds of neighborhood children and thousands more citywide through their play-to-learn activities in their play space, local schools, and community outreach events.
