Radio Ambulante is a narrative podcast that tells the stories of Latin America in Spanish. With over 200 episodes produced in more than 20 countries, we are the most ambitious podcast of narrative journalism in the region. We offer a sonic portrait of the continent and any place where Spanish is spoken.

Our episodes are distributed by NPR, the public radio of the United States, and we work with a talented community of radio producers, journalists, and illustrators to tell stories that go unnoticed in other media. In Radio Ambulante, we cover Latin America with stories of love and migration, youth and politics, environment, and families in extraordinary circumstances. We have collaborated with several media outlets such as The New York Times, Radiolab, This American Life, and Univision, among others.

In addition to Radio Ambulante, we have launched El hilo, a weekly news podcast that provides context and deepens the most important news in Latin America. Both podcasts have been recognized with multiple journalism awards. Radio Ambulante is not just a podcast, but a community-building organization that designs experiences for people to connect with our journalism and with each other.

We host Listening Clubs, where people gather to listen to episodes and engage in thoughtful conversations, and we have developed Lupa, an application that turns each episode into an effective and tailored Spanish lesson. We are a non-profit organization and have received support from various foundations throughout the years. Our podcasts, Radio Ambulante and El hilo, are also supported by listeners through our membership program called Deambulantes.
