The Regional EMS Foundation in Grande Prairie, AB is dedicated to saving lives and supporting front-line first response organizations. As a registered charity since 2000, our mission is to provide exemplary care for our community. We offer various programs and projects to promote wellness, healthcare, and education.

One of our initiatives, the AED For Life Program, was born out of the tragic loss of Randy and Debby Waldron's son, Shawn, to sudden cardiac arrest. Through this program, we aim to place automated external defibrillators (AEDs) in public areas to ensure everyone is comfortable using them and has the knowledge to save a life. Additionally, we focus on supporting the mental health of our Northern front-line workers, providing resources and a lending library to combat the increased PTSD, stress leave, and burnout seen during the COVID-19 pandemic.
