As a volunteer Washington Main Street Community, RDA works towards revitalizing downtown and neighborhood business districts. They follow the Main Street Four-Point Approach, a preservation-based economic development tool that leverages local resources, including historic, cultural, and architectural assets, as well as community enterprises.

By combining historic preservation with economic development, they aim to restore prosperity and vitality to Roslyn. RDA's efforts are guided by the model of The National Trust Main Street Center, a program of the National Trust for Historic Preservation.
