The Organisme de bassins versants des rivières Rouge (OBV RPNS) is dedicated to ensuring the integrated management of water and habitat. With a mission to mobilize all stakeholders and users of the territory, the OBV RPNS engages in a continuous process of consultation, planning, and implementation. With a wide range of activities, the OBV RPNS focuses on areas such as training, awareness, knowledge acquisition, protection, and enhancement of ecosystems.

Through collaboration and effective planning, the OBV RPNS aims to achieve the sustainable management of water resources. Covering a vast territory of 8,434 km2, the OBV RPNS operates in three main watershed areas and oversees the management and preservation of 38 lakes larger than 25 hectares. The OBV RPNS is actively involved in various projects, including the documentation of the impacts of forest roads on watercourses and the characterization and protection of the biodiversity of the Petite Blanche River.
