Red River Valley NAVHDA is a local chapter of the North American Versatile Hunting Dog Association, dedicated to promoting and improving versatile hunting breeds since 1969. They offer various services and events for members who are interested in hunting dog training and testing. The chapter conducts weekly training nights during the spring and summer, where volunteers address members' questions and introduce new concepts through demonstrations with experienced and inexperienced dogs.

This allows members to gain a better understanding of a hunting dog's development. In addition to training, Red River Valley NAVHDA organizes and hosts several fun events throughout the year, including the Annual Youth Hunts and the popular Chukar Classic. These events provide opportunities for members to showcase their dogs' abilities and enjoy the camaraderie of fellow hunting enthusiasts.

The chapter also holds annual Spring and Fall tests, providing members with the chance to test their dogs. However, registration and early payment are required due to limited test openings. Regular board meetings and an annual meeting are held, allowing members to actively participate in the decision-making and organizational processes of the chapter.
