About
Description
Samuel Ioron Foundation is a non-profit organization based in Nigeria, dedicated to increasing educational access for girls in rural communities. Our goal is to promote inclusive and qualitative education, improve the well-being of teenagers, and ensure equal access to opportunities. Founded in 2012 as the Women of Change Initiative (WOCIP), we were renamed and registered in 2017 in honor of the Late Samuel Ioron, who was committed to providing quality education for all regardless of gender.
At Samuel Ioron Foundation, we believe in fostering gender development and bridging the gap of female marginalization. To achieve this, we employ art-based tools and cultural dialogue to engage and empower marginalized communities. Our projects include sensitization campaigns, development training programs, library renovations, teacher training, vocational training for girls, and policy influencing strategies.
We leverage entrepreneurial and sustainable development interventions to ensure long-term project ownership in communities. We also raise funds for our organization through the exchange of branded products and services. By joining us as a volunteer or making a donation, you can help us create a supportive environment that uplifts and empowers women and girls, while closing the gender gap in education and development.
