Founded in 2013, the Alliance's initial goal was to counterbalance potential stagnation in government funding for basic science. Today, they have expanded to include over 30 members, working to increase philanthropic funding for scientific research through advising and fostering a community for science philanthropy. Through networking, shared learning, and partnerships, the Alliance enhances the impact and effectiveness of science philanthropy.
