The S. C. Sea Grant Consortium is a state agency established in 1978 to manage the NOAA National Sea Grant College Program for South Carolina.

Their integrated research, education, and extension programs aim to generate and apply science-based information on coastal and marine issues. The Consortium focuses on numerous areas including healthy coastal ecosystems, sustainable coastal development and economy, weather and climate resilience, sustainable fisheries and aquaculture, and scientific literacy and workforce development. As part of the South Atlantic Sea Grant Region, the Consortium also partners with other Sea Grant programs to implement regional research and outreach programs.
