Sea Cleaners is a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving New Zealand's coastline and marine life. Since 2002, they have coordinated volunteers and removed over 14. 6 million liters of waste from our waterways, with a focus on major population centers.

Sea Cleaners' long-term strategy involves educating people, particularly young individuals, on eco-friendly waste disposal methods to prevent harm to the environment. They aim to build awareness, create networks of collaborators, and work with local charities, schools, community groups, and corporates to combat littering. Despite acknowledging the problem of litter in waterways and coastlines, Sea Cleaners is committed to removing rubbish and contaminants from marine environments through sponsorship and volunteer efforts.

They have built six vessels and are continuously expanding their team and partnerships. Sea Cleaners also engages in educational programs, such as raising awareness and upskilling students and teachers for coastal clean-up events. By working together, Sea Cleaners strives to create a cleaner and healthier marine environment for everyone to enjoy
