Secondhand Hounds is a reputable 501(c)(3) nonprofit animal rescue organization based in Minnetonka, MN. Since its establishment in 2009, our dedicated volunteers have made a positive impact on the lives of numerous dogs and cats in the community. Our mission is to provide a safe haven, proper veterinary care, and daily necessities for animals at risk, while tirelessly working to find each one a permanent and loving home.

We specialize in rescuing dogs from kill shelters across the Midwest and from owners who can no longer care for their dogs. Additionally, we rescue cats from local shelters and owners facing similar challenges.
