Brightworks is an innovative K-12 independent school that was founded in 2011 by the Institute for Applied Tinkering (IAT). Under the stewardship of the Board, Brightworks is part of the IAT's mission to develop, practice, and share educational methods that challenge and support all children to engage deeply in their learning through real interests and real tools. The Board of Brightworks consists of a diverse group of individuals who bring a wealth of experience and expertise to the organization.


They include entrepreneurs, educators, philanthropists, and professionals from various fields. These board members are passionate about learner-centered education and believe in the power of Brightworks' approach to create meaningful change in the world. Brightworks offers a project-based curriculum and a range of programs, including The Arc, Early Elementary, Elementary, Middle School, and High School.


They also provide admissions processes, tuition and aid options, and various events for prospective students and families.
