Spay, the Spay-Neuter Assistance Program, has been leading the field in competent and compassionate veterinary care since 1994. Their mission is to prevent the suffering and death of companion animals and to strengthen the bond between humans and animals by providing excellent, accessible, and affordable spay/neuter and veterinary care. Over the past 27 years, Spay has performed almost three-quarters of a million spay/neuter surgeries, preventing the birth of millions of unwanted puppies and kittens.

They are committed to increasing this number to reach a million surgeries and beyond. In addition to their dedication to reducing pet overpopulation, Spay is also devoted to improving the welfare of animals and making veterinary care affordable for everyone. They were the first to pioneer a spay/neuter clinic on wheels to serve clients living below the poverty level.

Currently operating in Greater Houston and San Antonio, Spay serves almost nine million residents in sixteen counties. They offer needs-based subsidized services to clients living at or below the poverty level, with a focus on serving the Hispanic communities in both cities. Spay is highly regarded in the field and has received numerous accolades for their work.
