Welcome to the South Padre Island Birding & Nature Center (SPI BNC), located on the beautiful barrier island between the Gulf of Mexico and the Laguna Madre in South Padre Island, Texas. As one of the nine World Birding Center sites in the lower Rio Grande Valley, our non-profit organization offers exceptional birding opportunities and interpretive tours, allowing you to witness the diverse species that call this area home. But the SPI BNC isn't just about birds.

We also showcase the incredible variety of fish, dolphins, plants, and other animals that inhabit our unique ecosystem. Our goal is to share our love for this special place with you, your family, and your friends.
