About
Description
The Yale Spizzwinks(?) is America's first underclassman a cappella group, known for their sweet harmonies and perplexing name. Their history dates back to 1906 in Iowa when the state was plagued by the Great Iowa Corn Blight. A young boy from that small town, with a desire to attend Yale, would go on to play a pivotal role in the formation of the group.
Fast forward to 1913, four Yale freshmen, including the aforementioned boy, met at Mory's Temple Bar to establish a name for their new singing group. Inspired by the ghost of his old postmaster, they dubbed themselves the Spizzwinks. Their journey continued with a fortuitous editorial question mark that led to their present name, the Spizzwinks(?).
Today, the Spizzwinks(?) are fully enrolled students who perform concerts around the world during school vacations. They have performed in renowned venues like Madison Square Garden and Carnegie Hall, and have toured cities such as Beijing, Istanbul, and London. As cultural ambassadors, they represent the United States and engage in cultural exchanges with other choirs.
The Spizzwinks(?)' commitment to their Never don't go motto and their Spizzwink(?) Promise ensure that they continue to bring audiences a unique and unforgettable concert experience
