The Sun Prairie Public Library Foundation is a non-profit organization established in 1999 with a mission to enhance the Sun Prairie community through its support of the local library. By managing donations and creating an endowment, the Foundation enables the library to provide exceptional levels of service, programming, and technology beyond what is possible with City funding alone. As an independent organization operating outside of government oversight, the Foundation is committed to inclusivity and does not discriminate based on race, religion, gender, or other characteristics.

The Foundation offers various ways for individuals to get involved, including volunteer opportunities and donations. With a dedicated team, including an Executive Director and Foundation Development Specialist, the Foundation strives to promote thoughtful and strategic development to maximize the impact of the library.
