SURF is a collaborative organization consisting of over 100 educational and research institutions in the Netherlands. Their mission is to fully utilize the opportunities of digitalization to enhance education and research, providing better and more flexible services in these fields. As the ICT cooperative for education and research, SURF offers a wide range of products and services.

These include expertises in network infrastructure, data and server services, security and privacy, trust and identity, joint procurement, sustainability, and corporate social responsibility. Within the field of education and ICT, SURF specializes in flexible education organization, digital learning materials, educational and assessment environments, study data management, online and blended learning, and open and online education. In the field of research and ICT, SURF provides expertise in computational resources, data storage and management, data processing and analysis, and collaborative innovation.
