Take 3 is a brand that is dedicated to fighting plastic pollution and protecting our oceans. Founded in 2010 by marine ecologist Roberta Dixon-Valk, youth educator Amanda Marechal, and environmentalist Tim Silverwood, Take 3 aims to create a world where the over-use and mismanagement of plastics is not tolerated. Their mission is to shape public opinion, influence decision-makers, and encourage intergenerational communities to take personal responsibility in protecting the oceans from plastic pollution.


The inspiration behind Take 3 comes from the devastating impact that plastic pollution has on marine turtles, leaving them starving, choking, or entangled in plastic waste. Take 3 believes that it is our duty to make plastic pollution a thing of the past and ensure a brighter future for these ancient creatures. Take 3 offers various programs, education initiatives, and community events to raise awareness about the issue and engage individuals in taking action.
