Program areas include supporting youth action and social innovation, facilitating connected learning, and fostering creativity and digital skills. They offer free educational programs and capacity-building resources, connecting educators and students worldwide. Since their founding in 1999, TakingITGlobal has been committed to informing, inspiring, and involving youth in social good, reaching more than 50 million people.

They also support young social innovators with grants and mentorship, and engage educators through TIGed programming in over 150 countries. By leveraging creativity, technology, and community, TakingITGlobal aims to create lasting change and empower youth to reach their full potential
