Nestled in the heart of Downtown Fresno, we are revitalizing the Fultron District with our exceptional espresso shots and rich cultural offerings. At Café Alchemy, every detail is carefully crafted with intention and purpose.

Our name itself holds a deeper meaning. Café translates to coffee in Spanish, while Alchemy refers to the medieval practice of chemically transforming metals into gold. How does this relate to coffee, you ask? When we pull a shot to make an espresso, the shot is divided into three layers: the crema (the golden top layer), the body (the middle layer), and the heart (the bottom layer).

Here at Café Alchemy, we pride ourselves on creating gold through our rich and exquisite coffee. Led by the passionate Founder and Owner, Liz Fraire, Café Alchemy is an equitable coffee company deeply rooted in culture. Liz, a first-generation Mexican-American from Fresno, discovered her love for coffee while deployed in the Middle East in 2014.

This sparked her curiosity and led her to attend brewing classes in Northern California and pursue coffee courses in Mexico. With a strong focus on the integrity and quality of the coffee-making process, Liz aims to establish meaningful relationships with all those involved. As part of our commitment to showcasing the richness of our culture, Café Alchemy is launching presales for our first online coffee bag called Las Adelitas in honor of Women's Month.

Inspired by the brave women soldiers who participated in the Mexican Revolution, Café Alchemy aims to raise awareness about coffee and Mexican heritage. Did you know that coffee is actually a fruit, a berry that grows on trees in equatorial regions? Brazil leads the world in coffee production, while Mexico ranks 6th. Coffee beans are meticulously grown on Fincas de cafe (coffee farms), with over 500,000 smallholder farming families in Mexico alone.

Coffee consumption spans across continents and cultures, with an average of 2. 25 billion cups enjoyed every day. At Café Alchemy, we are passionate about delivering an exceptional coffee experience while celebrating the art, culture, and heritage behind it.
