The Food Pantries for the Capital District is a coalition of over 65 food pantries in Albany, Rensselaer, Saratoga, and Schenectady Counties. Our mission is to address hunger in the capital district by providing food through our member food pantries. With over 89,000 food-insecure individuals in our community, including 27,000 babies and children, we are dedicated to making a difference.

To fulfill our mission, we support our pantries by funding, purchasing, collecting, and delivering food. Additionally, we provide networking opportunities, coordinate services, and offer education and training for pantry staff and volunteers. Established in 1979, our organization has grown significantly over the years to meet the growing demand for food support.
