The Word On The Street

The Word On The Street is a national brand dedicated to celebrating reading and advocating for literacy across Canada. With a focus on Canadian writing, this brand organizes an annual event that brings together book enthusiasts of all ages. Offering free admission, The Word On The Street hosts hundreds of engaging readings that showcase the vital stories of our communities.

You can join us at various locations throughout the year. In Halifax, our event is scheduled for Saturday, September 14, 2019. In Saskatoon, mark your calendar for Saturday, June 5, 2021.

Toronto will be hosting our event on Saturday, May 27, 2023, and Sunday, May 28, 2023. And finally, in Lethbridge, you can catch us on Saturday, September 23, 2023.
