About

Description

Transdiaspora Network (TDN) is an organization that brings a new social meaning to culture and tradition. They are committed to advancing health equity, quality education, and gender equality among culturally diverse youth. Their innovative strategies, art, and cross-cultural curricula aim to deconstruct prevention.

TDN transcends boundaries and connects cross-cultural strategies, local practices, and personal narratives. As an organization, TDN has special consultative status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC). They support health-related initiatives and are a member of the UN NGO Mayor Group.

Furthermore, they are part of the Federation of Sustainable Development Organizations, which consists of nearly 1,000 organizations working to implement the 17 Sustainable Development Goals created by the United Nations. TDN's PRE-primary prevention curriculum combines education, recreation, and therapy to bridge the wellness gap among youth from low-income and immigrant backgrounds. Their innovative approach has gained recognition and was a finalist at the Global Innovation Exchange.

The curriculum integrates storytelling, photography, and music to help young people find themselves. Transdiaspora Network has received various accolades for their work, including the Credit Suisse Americas Foundation’s Community Improvement Award and the 2014 Silver Communicators Award. They are dedicated to cross-sector partnerships, transparency, and strengthened representation.
