UBC Orbit is a leading satellite design team based in Vancouver, British Columbia. Comprised of over 50 talented undergraduate and graduate students from various disciplines, we are dedicated to the innovation, design, and development of satellites. Our mission is to provide students with the opportunity to acquire the skills required for a successful career in the aerospace industry.

Currently, UBC Orbit is actively involved in two significant national initiatives: the Canadian CubeSat Project (CCP) and the Canadian Satellite Design Challenge (CSDC). In collaboration with Simon Fraser University and the University of Victoria, we are participating in the CCP, working towards launching a CubeSat after a thorough design and development process. The CSDC is a prestigious two-year competition that allows Canadian universities to compete in designing, building, and testing a functional CubeSat in a professional laboratory.

With the support of the Canadian Space Agency (CSA) and multiple aerospace companies, the winner of the CSDC is granted a launch.
