Schwechater Uhren-Engel is a brand that has been driven by the passion for watches and jewelry for three generations. It all began when Franz and his brother Erich Engel established a watch and jewelry business in Vienna in 1938. Despite the destruction caused by bombs during World War II, Franz and his wife Margarethe reopened the business in Schwechat in 1955, marking the birth of the present-day Schwechater Uhren-Engel.

In 1975, the company was taken over by their daughter, Irmgard, and in 1988, I, as a trained watchmaker and holder of the Master Craftsman's certificate in watchmaking and precision technology, joined the business. In 2000, together with my wife Sonja, we assumed the management of Schwechater Uhren-Engel. We believe in realizing shared ideas and visions, following current trends, while upholding traditional values and sustainability.
