UNI Africa is the regional arm of UNI Global Union, representing service workers across the African continent. As part of the 20-million strong UNI Global Union family, UNI Africa is dedicated to organizing and protecting the rights of all service employees. They work closely with UNI sectors and affiliated trade unions to expand trade union rights and promote decent work.

This commitment has led to significant milestones, such as the establishment of unions at DHL in Tunisia and Nigeria, as well as at Orange in Guinea. UNI Africa also focuses on strengthening the organizing capacity of affiliated unions, providing support continent-wide to help form new unions and grow existing ones. They exert political and regulatory influence by advocating for the adoption and implementation of policies and frameworks that benefit workers, such as the ratification of Convention 190 against violence and harassment at work.

Furthermore, UNI Africa builds strategic alliances with organizations like the International Labour Organization, ITUC-Africa, and global union federations to promote sustainable and just economies and societies. With offices throughout the continent, the UNI Africa secretariat is headquartered in Johannesburg, led by Regional Secretary Keith Jacobs
