Welcome to City Teaching Alliance, formerly known as Urban Teachers! Our brand has undergone a transformation, and we're excited to present our new and improved website. At City Teaching Alliance, we are dedicated to empowering effective educators who can transform the lives of children in urban schools. We believe in challenging systemic barriers of inequity and creating anti-racist classrooms.

Through our program, we prepare, certify, and support new educators to be highly effective in urban classrooms. We offer a master's degree from American University, paid classroom experience during the residency year, and a full-time teaching position starting in the second year. Additionally, our program includes 1:1 coaching, coursework promoting whole child success, and the opportunity to receive dual teaching certificates, including Special Education.
