Uwezo Uganda is an independent not-for-profit organization that has been making a positive impact in Uganda since October 2019. Our goal is to create a society where every child is able to learn and achieve their maximum potential. Through a variety of initiatives such as learning assessment, research, innovations, partnerships, and advocacy, we work towards improving learning outcomes and keeping communities and leaders focused on education.

For the past decade, we have been actively involved in generating and disseminating independent assessment data to highlight the issue of low learning outcomes in schools. We also emphasize that schooling does not always equate to effective learning. Our latest projects include the Assessment of Life Skills and Values (ALiVE) program, which targets adolescents both in and out of school to enhance their competencies in self-awareness, collaboration, problem-solving, and respect.
