Lulu Flores, a dedicated advocate, has climbed the ranks to become the President and CEO of the National Women’s Political Caucus, an organization that strives to enhance the participation of women in the political sphere. Lulu's influence extends across various levels, from being a National Delegate for Hillary Clinton's presidential campaign to holding positions like Chair of the Austin Arts Commission and Chief of Staff to the first Mexican American woman elected to the Texas House.

Growing up on the border as the youngest of nine siblings, Lulu's commitment to civil rights was fostered by her father, an attorney and a founding member of the League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC). However, Lulu also understands the importance of the tireless efforts behind the scenes, as demonstrated by her mother. Lulu's solid education background, backed by her parents' emphasis on learning, led her to the University of Texas, where she pursued her studies and graduated from law school.

She commenced her career by working for Rep. Irma Rangel in the state legislature, followed by roles as Director of Legislative Programs for the State Bar of Texas and Assistant Director for Alternative Fuels Policy and Legislation/Governmental Affairs at the Texas Railroad Commission. Later, she joined her husband as a partner in their law firm, Hendler Flores Law, PLLC.

Recognized as the National Latina Lawyer of the Year in 2010 by the Hispanic National Bar Association, Lulu has made significant contributions as a lawyer and a catalyst for social change. Her achievements have gained her a spot in the City of Austin Women's Hall of Fame, and she was also honored as the 2020 Distinguished Lawyer of the Year by the Austin Bar Association. Lulu actively supports numerous causes and serves as a member of the Advisory Committee of the University of Texas Center for Women and Gender Studies.

Now, Lulu is channeling her passion for social justice into her campaign for the state legislature, where she aims to counter S. B. 8 and Governor Greg Abbott's assault on reproductive freedoms, champion the dignity of all Texans, and advocate for investments in healthcare and education, empowering each Texan to pursue their full potential.
