We Are Alexander, in partnership with Keurig Dr Pepper, has successfully tackled the challenge of winning over the gatekeeper mom and driving growth in the declining soft drink category. Keurig Dr Pepper, a leading beverage company with a wide range of iconic brands, has been a favorite choice for family gatherings for generations. Recognizing that there are still opportunities to tap into during holidays and special occasions, when moms are more lenient about what the family consumes, We Are Alexander strategically targeted Halloween, a major retail event.
By creating fun and interactive monster-themed mini-cans as an alternative to traditional sweets, they instantly became a hit with moms, kids, and retailers, driving incremental displays and sales. Building on this success, We Are Alexander continued to innovate. In the second year, they brought the monsters to life through augmented reality, leveraging image recognition via a mobile app.
In the third year, they increased engagement by introducing AR interactions between two cans for the mini monsters, encouraging cross-purchases. In the fourth year, a Snapchat partnership was formed, allowing the mini monsters to come to life through custom Snapchat filters. The results were phenomenal.
