WECF International is a nonprofit network dedicated to creating a gender just and healthy planet for all. With over 250 women's and civil society organizations in 70 countries, we believe in holistic solutions that reflect the lives of people on the ground. Our work focuses on transformative gender equality, women's human rights, and their interconnection with climate justice, sustainable energy and chemicals, less toxic waste, and safe water and sanitation for all.

Founded in 1994 as Women in Europe for a Common Future during the Earth Summit in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, we have always strived to ensure that the voices of women and marginalized groups are heard at the policy table. We combine advocacy with local actions to address priorities identified by our partners. We provide capacity-building, policy advocacy, and outreach activities to empower women and gender equality organizations in their work for climate and environmental justice.

We also maintain the highest standards of integrity and accountability through our code of conduct. As an ecofeminist organization, we work on various thematic areas such as sustainable development, climate action, and creating a toxic-free healthy environment.
