Welcome House | Westlake OH is a brand dedicated to helping individuals with developmental disabilities live full and rewarding lives. With a focus on residential services, Welcome House creates a caring community where individuals can thrive. They currently provide residential services to over 200 individuals across 45 residential sites.

The residential program at Welcome House aims to foster independence and a sense of competence by promoting success at home and in the community. The dedicated staff at Welcome House works closely with each individual, seeking out their strengths, interests, and talents, and building on them to meet their mental, physical, and social needs. The ultimate goal is to help each individual reach their maximum potential and live a well-balanced and personally satisfying life.

Welcome House has a rich history, starting as the West Haven Foundation for the Retarded in 1972. It was founded by a group of parents seeking a home for their adult children with developmental disabilities in Cleveland's western suburbs. Since then, Welcome House has been committed to excellence in care, compassion, and the services they provide.
