The West Oakland Youth Center (WOYC) is a premier youth and young adult development institution located in West Oakland, CA. Our goal is to provide a healthy and supportive environment for all who we serve. We are dedicated to honoring the traditions, rituals, and cultures of our Homelands, while offering skills and training that promote healthy homes and futures.

As an emerging racial justice center, we are committed to justice and systems change for our communities. We work alongside community residents, elected officials, and program partners to provide a holistic approach to youth and young adult development. Our programs focus on five key areas: arts and media, personal development, health and wellness, workforce development, and education development.

Our state-of-the-art facility includes a performance stage, auditorium, and a fully equipped commercial kitchen that serves as a learning lab for participants interested in restaurant and culinary employment opportunities. We also provide training rooms with a fully equipped computer lab. At WOYC, we aim to empower youth and young adults to take control of their lives by offering meaningful leadership and workforce opportunities.
