The World Federation for Mental Health (WFMH) is an international membership organization that was founded in 1948. Our goal is to advance mental health awareness, prevention of mental disorders, advocacy, and best practice recovery-focused interventions worldwide. We are dedicated to promoting the prevention of mental and emotional disorders, providing proper treatment and care for those with such disorders, and overall promotion of mental health.

WFMH works towards heightening public awareness about the importance of mental health and improving attitudes towards mental disorders. We strive to promote mental health, prevent mental disorders, and enhance the care, treatment, and recovery of individuals with mental disorders. With our members and contacts in over 90 countries, we continue to uphold the founding principles of the WFMH.
