Will Shortz is a renowned puzzler and enigmatologist known as A Philosopher of Puzzles. As the world's only academically accredited puzzle master, he has dedicated his career to the study and creation of puzzles. Will first gained recognition through his self-designed major in Enigmatology at Indiana University, which led to his unique degree in the field.

He has since become the puzzle master for NPR's Weekend Edition Sunday, the crossword editor of The New York Times, and the editor of Games magazine. Will also founded the American Crossword Puzzle Tournament, the World Puzzle Championship, and the World Puzzle Federation. With over 500 puzzle books to his name, Will is a prolific author and editor.

Despite receiving a law degree, his love for puzzles drove him to pursue a career in the field, where he has found great success.
