The Wisconsin Junior Classical League (WJCL) is a chapter of the National Junior Classical League, dedicated to promoting classics and fostering a greater understanding of the modern world through the study of ancient Rome and Greece. At their state convention, held from January 31st to February 2nd at the Park hotel in Madison, the WJCL brings together enthusiastic teenagers who share a love for the classics. The convention is a jam-packed long weekend filled with various activities like certamen rounds, spirited cheering, intense test-taking, art creation, chess matches, war machine shooting, and even embarrassing challenges.
