WNYHeroes is a renowned veterans' assistance organization founded by Chris Kreiger, a dedicated military veteran himself. After serving in the U. S.

Army for a decade, Kreiger was inspired to establish WNYHeroes based on his personal experiences. During his service, he faced numerous challenges, including securing mass grave sites in Bosnia in collaboration with NATO forces. However, the most impactful experience came when he served as a medic during Operation Iraqi Freedom, where he was injured multiple times by roadside bombs, resulting in significant hearing loss and a traumatic brain injury.

Driven by his own hardships, Kreiger founded WNYHeroes with the goal of providing crucial support, resources, and assistance to veterans transitioning from combat to civilian life. The organization aims to eliminate the hardships and complications that many veterans continue to face in America today. WNYHeroes offers various programs, including Adopt-A-Hero's Family, Operation: Backpack, Operation: Bubba Heroes' Bridge, Operation B.

O. O. T.

S. (Peer to Peer Program), and Pawsitive For Heroes. Through these programs, the organization strives to alleviate the financial, physical, and emotional burdens veterans and their families encounter.
