About

Description

Women of Banglatown (WOB) is a neighborhood-based community arts organization that was founded in 2014. We provide a supportive and culturally-sensitive space for arts and well-being programming for first-generation and immigrant girls and young women aged between 10 and 26 years old. Our organization is located in the vibrant Banglatown neighborhood of Detroit and Hamtramck, Michigan.

At Women of Banglatown, we offer a variety of weekly workshops led by local women artists, WOB members, and trauma-informed facilitators and entrepreneurs. Our goal is to empower and uplift young women by providing them with opportunities for self-expression, personal growth, and artistic development. We believe in the power of the arts to inspire, heal, and bring communities together.

Through our programs, we aim to foster creativity, resilience, and cultural pride among our participants. If you are looking to join a supportive community that celebrates diversity and the creative spirit, become a member of Women of Banglatown today. Contact us via email at hello@womenofbanglatown.
