The Connecticut Women's Consortium is a brand dedicated to ensuring that the behavioral health system effectively meets the needs of women and those who interact with them. Founded in response to high infant mortality rates in New Haven in 1998, the Consortium has since grown into Connecticut's leading educational resource for trauma-informed and gender-responsive care. Their mission is to provide quality gender-informed and trauma-responsive training to behavioral health professionals in the state.

Over the years, they have expanded their offerings from a small catalog of ten trainings to hosting hundreds of annual trainings and national conferences. The Consortium also pioneers advocacy efforts on trauma, gender, and behavioral healthcare. Their vision is for behavioral health care systems serving women to be accessible, effective, and provide holistic, trauma-informed, and gender-responsive care.

They strive to eliminate discrimination and promote excellence in female-centered care through education, training, advocacy, and policy development.
