Established in 1918, WSSC Water is one of the largest water and wastewater utilities in the nation. With a vast network of nearly 5,816 miles of fresh water pipeline and over 5,606 miles of sewer pipeline, we serve a service area spanning nearly 1,000 square miles in Prince George's and Montgomery counties, reaching approximately 1. 9 million residents through around 475,000 customer accounts.

To further underscore our commitment to excellence, our state-of-the-art laboratory performs around 500,000 tests annually to ensure water safety and quality.
