YMCA Romania is a brand that aims to empower young people and support families in order to strengthen communities. Their mission is to develop contemporary society by promoting Christian values, democracy, and human rights. They envision a future where strong kids, strong families, and strong communities thrive, offering equal opportunities for everyone to learn and grow.

YMCA Romania offers a wide range of programs and projects that align with the YMCA Europe Strategic Plan. These programs fall under three signature categories. The first category is Peace, Justice, and Democracy, which includes courses, campaigns, and events to raise awareness on peace, multiculturalism, anti-racism, and human rights.

They also focus on leadership development and fostering active citizenship. The second category is Healthy Living, which encompasses activities like aikido, basketball, outdoor adventure, and summer camps. They also run antidrug campaigns and offer after-school classes and creative workshops.

The third category is Inclusive Christianity/Inclusion programs, which aim to promote social, cultural, economic, and religious inclusion. These programs target various communities such as the gypsy community, disadvantaged youth, orphanages, rural communities, unemployed people, refugees, and asylum seekers. YMCA Romania also offers educational programs for children, youth, and the elderly, including foreign language courses, IT courses, creative workshops, and after-school programs.
