About

Description

Zena Zezza is a contemporary art project based in Portland, Oregon. Directed by Sandra Percival, Zena Zezza aims to support and showcase the work of artists, exploring their ideas, influences, and the thought-provoking questions they raise. Through their Artist Project Seasons, Zena Zezza presents exhibitions accompanied by a range of discursive and performative events, fostering new perspectives on art and contemporary culture.

As a non-profit organization, Zena Zezza collaborates with academic and cultural institutions, promoting critical thinking and offering unique opportunities for conviviality and public conversation. Their current Summer Season, titled ZZZ BOOKS, is an ongoing exhibition featuring a collection of artist monographs, rare and recent artist books, and exhibition catalogues. Highlights include monographs by renowned contemporary artists such as Joan Jonas, Adrian Piper, Daniel Buren, and Helio Oiticica, as well as artists' multiples and editions.

Zena Zezza welcomes visitors by appointment on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays from 1-5pm and can be contacted for other days and times. Located at the historic Hallock & McMillan building, accessibility is provided on the first floor while the upper floor is accessible only by stairs.
